I love how Mitsumi was very fast recovery. And I totally agree with Shima, Mitsumi is just being Mitsumi and she should stay that way.

It seems like Shima has started to accept his acting career past and enjoying the school festival. I can't wait to see how it goes

Shima is always worried and supports Mitsumi, I believe its her turn now to support him. He is such a chill guy, but this issue with his family is his one and only pain! He needs help with this to understand that he shouldn't feel guilty about anything! :(

Mitsumi has already been supporting Shima all this time just being herself, though. The guy himself already said that in this episode.

Logically speaking, a person just being themselves cannot have any impact on YOUR situation. Only an active approach can actually support his situation. All that 'by just being yourself you support me' is just romanticism that girls like to hear when watching these types of anime. If you watch this from a more objective point of view, she actually didn't do anything to support him.

I'm glad Mukai and Mitsumi noticed Shima's discomfort, after hearing Chris' concern and how he believed people will notice and see that he is not honest, hopefully those two will be able to help him out if something like that eventually happens.

It sucks that Shima's father was a cheat though, that is what it sounded like and I don't remember if it has been confirmed or not in an earlier episode. It's nice that he was comforting his mother but it's sad such a young child took that kind of responsibility.

Mitsumi is such a strong girl, she was able to go speak to Asano even though she heard her say such things about her. Mitsumi is really trying to enjoy the festival as much as she can although I can understand Asano's side since she did ask Mitsumi if she's sure since she was visibly busy.

Either way, we got to see a bunch of sweet moments between Mitsumi and Shima. I thought it was interesting how Shima wanted Mitsumi to not be tarnished by the larger number of connections the city life brings, I didn't think we would see those kinds of thoughts from him just yet.

I also really liked the fact that we saw him blush so evidently, looks like things may be developing on his side without him realizing just yet, even if it is platonically, I think Shima has grown a bit closer to Mitsumi. I like how Shima sang for Mitsumi and no-one pushed him to do so, he chose to do it.

nah man Asano is a bitch...she knew Mitsumi was busy af with other stuff & yet she gave her such a heavy job despite clearly declaring she would do all the heavy stuff...when someone asked if they could lend you a hand dont instantly make them do the important stuff especially again if you know that person is already busy...so again Asano & her gossip friend there are bitches...as for Mitsumi for wanting to help partially she is to be blame because she need to learn her limit but her intention was good

Shima comforting and cheering up Mitsumi was so cute it's interesting that she reminded him of his past self and the fact that they're performing The Sound of Music is so cool it's one of my favorite musical's that i've been at :)

i love how Shima thinks she'd be better off in the countryside, becuase for him running away from the difficulties is second nature. but then Mitsumi just say "eh, i fked up so many times i already know how to get up" and basically roasts the crap outta Shima's line of thinking. i think that is why we see him taking it seriously in the end.

oh. mama shima found the leaflet. i'd love for her to come see it. but i am afraid how she'll take it. Shima Clearly has a knack for acting, seeing how easy it is for him to fully comprehend the character he portrays. i had some experience in theaters (as a light technician, no boasting here) and you can always tell who is just going through the lines of dialogue, and who is taken by the character. (although i am not sold on those method actors and stuff. thats taking it a little too far) and generally the latter gives a more genuine feel to the play.

i am guessing Shima is going to change how his character end up behaving in the very end. just a hunch. also, love sells, so having him declaring his love to his girl will make for a great scene (and will stir up the heart of a certain someone for sure)

oh my tho, he's really a cutiepie. i loved the scene between him and mitsumi. it felt straight out of real life, when no real answer can be given, and all you can do is enjoy what you can, when you can.

Don't write off Shima as an away runner. He, clearly, has shitty family circumstances that led him to be the way he is., whereas Mitsumi comes from an environment where she's loved and doted upon. Different realities, different outcomes.

Hold up a moment... you're telling me they're making a play about The Sound of Music instead of doing Cinderella or other Princess-like fairytales like 99% of animes do? FINALLY SOMETHING DIFFERENT! No wonder I enjoyed this episode a lot, also because of the fact that we got more insight on Shima's past, and it was true that he has it rough with his family.

There's one thing tho, Shima's mom found the flyer about the play... so two things will happen, either she will go and see the play in secret, or she will accidentally blab about it and Ririka will show up to make the lives of everyone miserable, that can be a nice sudden thing to happen, and can't wait to see what Mitsumi will do in the next episode.

These guys are a couple but they don't know that they are. Both are indirectly supporting each other and motivating but don't know that they are having a bigger impact then they think.
Ps: I was the Leader for the R&D project when I was in university and trust me Its not easy to co-ordinate any thing even the presentations when you have close friends in your group.

Shima and Mitsumi dancing behind the school was genuinely wholesome. There isn't any clichéd tropes behind their dance and just being themselves.

I relate with these two Mitsumi and Shima. When I was in High school I was like Mitsumi part of student govt, academic achiever, an optimist, a yes man, and have high aspiration. The thing is I do not have a person like Shima in my life, that act as my support or can vent my thoughts and feelings, In the end of HS I was drained. I went to college and I became more like Shima laid back and and just go with the flow, I managed to graduate, but Im still looking for something inside me or something to look forward too. They definitely need each other, as a couple or just a friend as Yin and Yang.
